Awesome PS3 Upgrade
I am an owner of a PS3 80gb fat version. I ran out of space in my 80 gb hard drive and decided to upgrade so I chose a 1 tb hard drive. The previous hard drive was a Hitachi and the Seagate Momentus fit nicely into the original caddy. Installation went flawlessly as it only took about five minutes for the hardware installation. The software installation took much longer as there is more to it. When upgrading your hard drive be sure to download the latest firmware from the playstation website onto a flash drive. Also be sure to back up your PS3 prior to removal of the old hard drive that way you won't have to download everything again because all of my data was back on the PS3 when I restored it from the backup. This is a very quiet running hard drive and I barely notice that the PS3 is running because of the lack of noise compared to the other hard drive that was in there. I chose a 1 tb hard drive because I am a big gamer and I do download lots of dlc as well as digital format games...

Customer review : Easy upgrade for a MacBook Pro
I purchased this to replace the original 500GB disk in my MacBook Pro.
Fairly simple process to replace, if you have the right cable.
In this case, I purchased an exteral USB-SATA cable, and used the standard process of creating a new boot volume on the new disk, and then did a copy/clone of the internal disk to the new disk.
Once the disk copy is completed, eject the new disk, shut down the laptop, remove the screws to open the case, 2 screws to remove the drive, unplug the SATA connector, swap the 4 screws from the old to new disk, plug it back in, button up the case and boot.
Done. Simple process. Seems to work fine.
This is a 5400RPM disk, the old 500GB disk I had was a 7200RPM. There is a noticable difference in speed when copying a lot of sequential files. For "normal" use, opening apps, saving files, etc, no speed difference.
