Bought this Blu-ray drive to put into a OWC Fire-Wire 800 enclosure to digitize my entire Blu-ray collection on my Mac. Works perfect and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Have gone through about 200 discs in my collection without a hitch!

Just received this item a day ago and as soon as i plugged it in windows 7 installed the drivers and got it up in running with zero problems. I downloaded total media theater 5 media center and fired up a blu-ray disc and all runs smooth with no audible noise and fast response. Also burned a 12Gb blu-ray disc lighting fast thanks to the 15x write speed on Nero 11. All in all good price and excellent product, with zero problems yet.
The 208 model is not a BDXL Burner. purchase the BDR-2207 or 2208 for BDXL burning capability. Other than that there is next to no difference between the 208 and 2208.
