Good Budget Motherboard for AMD Phenom processors
Motherboard (MBO) arrived a few days early and fit perfectly in the legacy Gateway case. As replacement for the Unknown Brand MBO that came with the Gateway I couldn't be more satisfied. All connectors matched from the power supply (which I also had to replace since it was a 250W on its last legs). I was quite pleasantly surprised by the clarity of the MBO manual which gave good instructions for setting up all of the necessary connectors along with some decent illustrations.
After installing a new version of WIN7 the bottom line - System is now back to its original performance level (actually a tad better since I replaced the original CPU with a slightly faster model).
One word of caution: Your original Windows 7 installation cannot be re-installed on your rebuilt machine. WIN7 marries itself to your original equipment and your warranty. Thus during the Microsoft registration process, the MBO codes and other equipment specs are imbedded in your registration...

Before buying this board, I did a Lot of research trying to find an affordable AM3+ mobo that had all the good features (like sata3) AND also sported usb 3.0 headers for the front usb 3.0 connectors on my case. Mind you, many more Expensive boards boast USB 3.0 support, but most of them only have usb 3.0 ports at the BACK only. If you have a chassis that has usb 3.0 front connectors, you would not be able to use them on Most of these other mobos.
This mobo just does the trick for me. Its AFFORDABLE, has a usb 3.0 header, sata3, a graphical interface bios (very easy to navigate and has mouse support), and the back has only the necessary modern connectors for a nice clean look (no serial ports, lol)
I am very happy with this product and Highly recommend it.
