Meh...Ended up returning...
I'll preface this by saying that I'm not into 3D at all. I've always thought it was gimmicky and not very well executed. That being said, I still thought it would be cool to play Mass Effect 3 in 3D. Without a doubt...it's VERY cool. It brings a whole new dimension to gaming. Although I feel like I'm on drugs after playing for several hours straight without looking away from the monitor.

This monitor in particular though...seems like you get what you pay for. It's a passive 3D monitor which I read about but I suppose didn't fully understand until I got this one. An active 3D monitor doubles the refresh rate, making it 120Hz instead of 60Hz, and uses 3D glasses that have a shutter on each eye which alternate opening and closing at 60 cycles/second based on an infrared emitter that syncs the shutter to your display output. Customer review : Very good and affordable IPS Monitor with 3D Support
At first I hesitated to buy this monitor since it has no reviews, but I just thought that I cannot go wrong with an IPS Monitor.
So I went ahead and bought it. This an excellent IPS monitor with support for 3D, especially because you don't need all kinds and bells and whistles for using 3D.

2D Performance :-

The colors are very sharp and very vibrant with good black levels. The monitor is very bright.
The text is very clear.

3D Performance :-

I tested the 3D using both DualLink-DVI and HDMI 1.4a. Like the ASUS guys pointed out, the 3D settings work very well
with HDMI 1.4a, we definitely shouldn't be missing that point.
